Using ShareTheRideNC, Triangle area commuters can use an online calendar to track each day they use a smart commute. Each smart commute by carpool, vanpool, transit, biking or walking earns points. After tracking commute modes in the calendar – long enough to make a new commute option comfortable and routine – points are redeemed for entries in monthly and quarterly drawings for gift certificates and prizes. GoPerks is unavailable to students but our partnerships with employers and local businesses are fundamental to the success of this robust rewards program. Launched in January 2015, the GoPerks program continues GoSmart's goal of reducing traffic, helping employees save money, and improving the environment and quality of life by introducing prize drawings for smart commuters. The program is free but the rewards are priceless!
